Agenor Mafra-Neto AGENOR MAFRA-NETO — PRESIDENT OF ISCA TECHNOLOGIES
The CEO and founder of ISCA Technologies, Inc., Dr. Agenor Mafra-Neto, holds a doctorate in entomologyand is an expert in the fields of insect behavior, chemical ecology and agricultural ecology. He has developed innumerous tools to monitor and suppress insect pests and has ample experience with insect pest monitoring programs, monitoring technology and behavioral assays. Dr. Mafra-Neto has accomplished postdoctoral work in entomology at Iowa State University, earned his Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, an M.S. and B.S., both in Biology from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

As a Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-PI, Dr Mafra-Neto has been awarded more than $5 million in federal funding for the research and development of innovative integrated pest management solutions. As an inventor and co-inventor, he currently holds 2 patents and has 2 patents pending. Dr. Mafra-Neto is the founder and largest shareholder of ISCA Technologies, Inc., and its Brazilian associate company ISCA Technologias Ltda.

The mission of ISCA Technologies is to provide integrated pest management solutions that are economical, effective, environmentally friendly, and importantly, do not have the harmful side effects of many conventional pest management techniques that rely solely on insecticides. Its products include more than 300 species specific insect lures and traps, and a range of innovative pest management tools such as the Moritor Pest Managemen Information System and automated insect identification devices.

Amro Albanna AMRO ALBANNA — FOUNDER, PRESIDENT & CEO OF QMOTIONS
Mr. Albanna founded QMotions in 2003 and he directs the creation of innovative products for the video gaming market.

Headquartered in Riverside, California, U.S.A., QMotions specializes in developing state-of-the-art, PC/Console- based active game technology products that incorporate “full-motion” participation from players. Brian Hawley BRIAN HAWLEY — CHAIRMAN & CTO OF LUMINEX
Brian N. Hawley is Chairman and Chief Technical Officer of Luminex. Founded in 1994, this privately held, global, growing, and consistently profi table company develops distinctive data storage products based on proven technologies that tackle the complex challenges of storing, archiving, distributing and protecting data. At the University of California, he held various academic positions and pioneered new curriculum for upper division projects in compiler design and multi-user operating systems courses. He holds Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside.

Dietmar Baur joined EncorePharma in early 2002 and is in charge of the financial, organizational, and commercial aspects of the company.

Elmer Thomas

ELMER THOMAS — CEO OF ATL INNOVATIONS, INC & IER SOLUTIONS, INC.

Elmer Thomas was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and studied Computer Engineering at the University of California, Riverside. He also holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Control Systems and Global Positioning Systems (GPS), which he received from University of California, Riverside. Elmer also is a graduate of the Tuck Executive Training Program at Dartmouth.

In 2003, with several classmates from UC Riverside, Elmer founded the award winning company Above The Limit, Inc. serving micro businesses with technology needs. In 2006, he co-founded ATL Innovations, Inc. focusing on web innovations and specialized projects for fortune 500 companies. Two recent in-house innovations are www.ThemBid.com and www.Notifir.com.

Elmer's passion is to close the digital divide through web innovations and technology. He loves to program and spends many nights coding and experimenting. He is a member of The National Society of Black Engineers and an advocate for diversity in technology. Gordon Bourns GORDON BOURNS — CHAIRMAN & CEO OF BOURNS INC.
Gordon Bourns joined the Company in 1973 and has managed various business units and operations within Bourns since that time. He was elected CEO in 1987 and Chairman of the Board in December 1988 by the Company’s Board of Directors. He currently serves as the Company’s Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.

As Chairman and CEO, Mr. Bourns heads a worldwide electronics corporation, producing more than 3,000 different products at 14 domestic and international facilities. Mr. Bourns currently focuses much of his attention on strategic planning to accomplish the company’s Mission to achieve profitable growth.

Mr. Bourns is the son of the co-founders of Bourns, Inc., Marlan and Rosemary Bourns. He presently serves on the Boards of Company subsidiaries throughout the world. Helen Chen HELEN Y. CHEN — VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OF AMBRYX BIOTECHNOLOGY INC.
Helen Chen joined the company in 2004 and she oversees the business strategic development of Ambryx therapeutics.

Ambryx Biotechnology Inc. is a privately held company founded in 1997.  Its mission is to develop naturally occurring bioactive peptides into safe, effective therapeutics to treat cancer and obesity. Ambryx began as a leading edge cancer drug discovery company.  Ambryx’s proprietary R-ACT technology platform yielded a portfolio of patented therapeutic proteins effective in both human cancer cell lines and in animal models.  In October 2004, a group of peptides with anti-obesity was discovered by Ambryx scientists.  Clinical safety and efficacy studies are currently underway.

Prior to joining Ambryx, Dr. Chen was a project analyst at Beachhead Consulting, a leading strategic advisement firm to companies specializing in drug discovery tools and development.  She was also the co-founder and partner of the Technology Evaluation Group, a consulting firm that specializes in the technology assessment of pharmaceutical compounds and medical devices for venture capitalists and biotech start-up companies.  She received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the university of California, San Diego, and her B.S. degree from Yale University.

Rajan Kasetty RAJAN KASETTY — PRESIDENT & CEO OF TERRAFORE, INC.
Rajan Babu Kasetty is the President and CEO of Terrafore, Inc., a Consulting and Technology Development Company established in August 2007.  Terrafore operates in the areas of Green Technologies, Green Buildings, Building and Home Automation, Alternate Energy and Energy Efficiency.

Prior to starting Terrafore, Rajan was the President and CEO of Infotech Enterprises America, Inc., part of a 5,500 people group of companies with 22 Global locations, offering IT services and Engineering Design services for aerospace, automotive and industrial customers and Geographical Information Systems for utilities, transportation and government customers. Rajan was a founding Director on the Board of the company and also the parent company. He also established the company’s Puerto Rico subsidiary which was later converted to a joint venture.

After graduating in Electrical Engineering in 1974, Rajan began his career as a Management Trainee with the DCM/Shriram group in Hyderabad, India. Since 1976, he has been an entrepreneur in engineering, consulting, manufacturing and IT sectors working with international clients and customers. Rajan was visiting faculty with the Engineering Staff College of India during its formative years. He served as board member and vice-chairman of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, A.P. Chapter and has been involved with several trade and industry associations.

Shaun Hamer SHAUN HAMER — VP SALES & ENGINEERING OF Almex USA INC.
Shaun Hamer graduated from Portsmouth University in 1990 with a Bachelors Degree with Honors in Mechanical Engineering.  Over the past 15 years he has assisted many of the leading aluminum companies around the world to optimize foundry operations.  Shaun was a co-founder of the Riverside Technology CEO Forum when working in Riverside at FATA Hunter Inc., a global supplier of processing equipment to the aluminum and steel industries.  

Shaun recently moved out of the area to join Almex USA Inc. as a VP Sales and Engineering.  Almex is the leading supplier of foundry equipment and technological services for the production of aerospace aluminum alloys and other specialty alloys.  Shaun’s global experience will permit Almex to gain greater exposure in both domestic and overseas markets.  One of Shaun’s key focuses is to develop self reliance systems for provincial areas of developing countries through equipment and technical know how supply and formation of joint venture companies in these regions.

Now based in Buena Park, Shaun maintains an active role in the Forum and is a strong supporter of the Forum’s purpose.
